Remedy of Romance

A reckless, resonation of reality resides -

In remembering reasons for restitution.

Reaching, ever reaching, I -

Revamp, rebuild, and reconstruct the remains.

The remains of a relationship,

I reverently reignite.

In restitution,

Yet I request refinement,

Recompense to rectify.

Regally, shall I, revise the rift.

Remorse is a redirect, my rebuttal

To a rancid ruse.

But the rugged, relic requires

My roving to be recounted.

And so really we rise.

In my refrain; resounding results are realigned.

Remembering my reality is not rinsed out.

Relatively speaking, I reside in resilient restlessness.

Right now, redacting is my rest.

You reach...I reach and we reach.

Receiving, just receiving.

Rifts react and reciprocate.

A rigid road remains.

Recovery revelry

Rejoice now, rejoice.

Reluctantly, I do.

This is my renaissance,

So I rejuvenate my reality

With you.

This poem, while a play on alliteration is of simple substance.  It merely delves into the topic of relationships and arguments.  The idea behind a give and take scenario.  While a dispute may often be based on meaningless references; the forgiveness and political fostering necessary to make a relationship work, is expressed.  Our poignant abilities as humans to reason out the consequences of our tongue and actions provide the spiritual meaning in our lives.  It is so with those we love.  This piece is about forgiveness; about humility and addressing our needs.  In refraining from the blatant kettle calls we ultimately champion harmony and set aside pride.

The other scenario addressed in this piece, is the need for renaissance in a relationship.  The desire for change and yet the ultimate slothful behavior we fall into regarding the maintenance of our relationships.  We often lack the energy because we give it all away to others, and forget to respond correctly to our significant other.  It is a reminder that we are not perfect and “our reality is not rinsed out” or cleansed.  It is more a test of endurance until understanding is perfect.  In the meantime, it implies to “rest” and “rejoice” in the good times.  The next wave will return to shake things up again but each time we learn to “redact” in order to keep the peace.  The poem is a journey through the patterns which perpetuate within each relationship.

On that note I would have to say both!  Our entire lives are based on a yin-yang principal.  A balance.  Soul mates are said to be two parts of a whole.  This would indicate opposites and therefore a need to learn from each other.  What are comforting are the possibilities within us for transformation.  A relationship drives us to strive, to perfect, to better ourselves for the sake of another.  In so doing, we achieve a higher perspective and an innate sense of unconditional love.  There is no such thing as perfect; there is only the willingness of acceptance.
